Jessica Spencer (Rachel McAdams) has officially conquered the world. No longer just the high school queen bee, she is now a ruthless, high-powered fashion mogul and a controlling “helicopter mom” to a rebellious teenage daughter who is just as vain as Jessica once was. Believing her days of manscaping and locker room horrors are ancient history, Jessica’s perfect life implodes when she confiscates a familiar pair of antique earrings from her daughter to teach her a lesson about “responsibility.”
Fate, however, has a twisted sense of humor. In a freak accident involving a bumbling, hygiene-challenged, and flea-ridden dog walker named Bo (Rob Schneider)—who happens to be the chaotic cousin of the man she swapped with years ago—Jessica wakes up once again in the hairy, unkempt body of a middle-aged man. But this time, the stakes are higher than a cheerleading competition.
While “Bo” (possessed by a horrified Jessica) frantically tries to navigate New York Fashion Week without getting thrown out by security, the real Bo (living it up in Jessica’s glamorous, manicured body) wreaks absolute havoc on her brand. He turns high-end runway shows into frat parties, wears crocs with couture gowns, and hits on Jessica’s confused husband.
With her ride-or-die best friend April (Anna Faris) by her side—still utterly confused but fiercely loyal—and Adam Sandler stepping in as the eccentric, bongo-playing antique dealer who might hold the cure, Jessica must retrieve the earrings and switch back before her empire, and her family, are ruined forever. Crude, rude, and surprisingly full of heart, The Hot Chick 2 is a laugh-out-loud reminder that true beauty comes from within… even if the outside is a hairy Rob Schneider trying to walk in stilettos.
