The pair are currently filming, according to a post shared on Instagram, which broke the news of their casting. It marks one of the most high-profile projects for both actors, who have built reputations in prestige TV and indie film.
“The Secret of Secrets” is a notable departure from the earlier Langdon novels. Where “The Da Vinci Code” and “Angels & Demons” leaned on breakneck puzzles and church conspiracies, this 2025 entry is more introspective, weaving in themes of artificial intelligence and ancient secrets. That tonal shift has made it a divisive read among fans — some call it a bold reinvention, others say it strays too far from the formula.
The casting of Spector and Hall is a clever hook.
